Advantage and Disadvantage of working in small size CA firms.


 What are the advantage. and disadvantage. of working in small size CA firms for article ship if I want to work in big four co. after doing CA?

There are various advantages as well as disadvantages of working in small sized CA Firms.
Advantages :-
  • You get an opportunity to work in various fields such as Taxation, Statutory Audit, Bank audit, GST, Income Tax Returns etc.
  • As there is less no. of articles in small firm then you have direct link with your Principal.
  • As there is less work pressure, so there are less working hours which means you have enough time for studies.
  • You get the opportunity to handle the work from start to end.
Disadvantages :-
  • Though you get opportunity to work for various fields still you had only limited working knowledge of that particular field but on other hand in BIG 4’s you get to work in particular field but at the end of the training you will be master at this field having in depth knowledge of your work.
  • You will not get to handle more pressure and late night works.
  • You will not get chance to work in corporate culture, thus having less communication and soft skills.
Even after doing articleship from small sized firm if you will be able to clear your CA Finals both group in first attempt then your chances for job in BIG 4 are high.
