CA INTER STUDY PATTERN

 


What study pattern a CA INTER student should follow?

As per new pattern of CA Course there are 8 subjects in CA Intermediate which are as follows:

Paper 1 - Accounting

Paper 2 - Corporate Laws and other Laws

Paper 3 - Cost and Management Accounting

Paper 4 - Taxation ( Direct and Indirect Tax)

Paper 5 - Advanced Accounting

Paper 6 - Auditing and Assurance

Paper 7 - Enterprise Information System and Strategic Management

Paper 8 - Financial Management and Economics for Finance

Firstly you have to decide whether you are going to attempt both groups or each group individually. If you planned for both groups then firstly complete your classes for first group and then complete your classes for second group and plan in that way that your classes will complete in scheduled time so that you get enough time for self study and if you are going to attempt to single group then complete classes for all subjects of that group.

Following is the study pattern for each subject

  • Accounting and Advanced Accounting - You have to devote minimum 1 month to these subjects as these are practical subjects. Make sure all your concepts are clear so that in exam time you have just go through it
  • Taxation - It is one of the vast subjects. You need to have in depth knowledge of its sections. For Tax you should prepare short notes so that it is helpful for revision during exams and in everyday revision.
  • FM and Cost Accounting - Both these subjects can be prepared with practice it continuously each day with other theoretical subjects
  • Audit and Law - SA should be revised on daily basis and both these subjects can be prepared with the revision of CA study and practice manual
  • EIS & SM - Revise it in second month of self study and devote around 1 month for these subjects .

As you have 9 months for both groups so you should have minimum 3 months for self study. In first month prepare for first group and in second month prepare for second group and last month should be devoted towards revision of all subjects. Make sure that you prepare short notes for necessary subjects that it will be helpful in revision and during the exams.
